Agnes Decourchelle

Art & Illustration

ABOUT

French artist and illustrator, Agnes spent her childhood in Africa filled with strong colours and vivid lights. Her drawings and illustrations show her interpretation of reality. That’s also a way to freeze an ephemeral moment in one picture. Drawing is a fabulous language and she enjoys passing it on.

Agnes graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs, Paris and the Royal College of Art in Communication Art&Design, London. Her drawings were seen in the press (Telerama, Wallpaper*, The World Of Interiors, The Guardian, The New York Times, GQ, Vanity Fair), publishing companies (Laurence King Publishing, Gallimard Jeunesse, Penguin Books, Hachette) and in other projects and collaborations (Carolina Herrera, Mucho, Les Restos du Cœur, BBC, Santa&Cole, Château Palmer…).

She keeps on developing personal projects such as exhibition projects like the Nuit Blanche in Paris, murals, and various sketchbooks.
